Vodafone Idea shares fell nearly 20% in the last two days as SC dismissed a batch of pleas seeking correction of alleged errors in the Adjusted Gross Revenue

Vi shares plummeted nearly 20 per cent on Thursday’s trade to close at ₹10.38 on the BSE after the Supreme Court dismissed pleas filed by telecos seeking correction of alleged errors in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR). The move has invited mixed opinions from brokerages.

Vodafone Idea’s big problem, even after its FPO and tariff hikes, is its highly stretched balance sheet, with liabilities of Rs 2.5 lakh crore, said brokerages.

While Nomura has upgraded shares of Vodafone Idea, Goldman Sachs still has a sell rating with a ₹2.5 price target.

The lowest price target has been given by Goldman Sachs, with a 'Sell' rating, as it sees no government support/relief in AGR liabilities

Vodafone Idea Ltd.'s target price was slashed by brokerages as they factored in the negative impact of Supreme Court dismissing the telecommunication companies' plea to reconsider calculation of adjusted gross revenue dues. Citi Research and Nuvama cut Vodafone Idea's target price.

The court upheld the earlier decision, thereby reinforcing the obligation of telecom companies to pay their AGR dues.
